To many German natives it seems, English is spoken at breakneck speed - and there is probably some truth to that. The fact that words are frequently pulled together, combined, omitted or highlighted for impact doesn’t help much. However, there is some system to all of this and while it is not necessary at all to speak like that, it can be helpful to understand people who talk like this (and who are probably not even aware of it).
